2017 Tampa Buccaneers Rookie Class Trick-or-Treat their way through Moffitt Cancer Center

October 24, 2017

TAMPA, Fla., — Rookie members of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are bringing the NFL experience to 100 students from Lee and Lockhart Elementary and Buchannan Middle schools on Halloween. Moffitt Cancer Center’s lawn will transform into a makeshift football field where students will get a chance to tackle, score touchdowns and throw a football thanks to the NFL’s “Play 60” equipment provided by the Buccaneers.

The Bucs Street Team RV will also be onsite giving the children, patients and Moffitt team members the opportunity to experience an inside look into Buccaneers football from the comfort of the customized recreational vehicle.

Moffitt Healthy KIDZ is a community outreach program offered by Moffitt for children and adolescents of all ages focusing on cancer prevention, healthy living and positive life choices. Students will learn more about cancer before hitting the gridiron for a pewter practice with the Bucs.

The Bucs rookies will also bring some tricks and treats to the cancer center as they visit patients.
