Moffitt Cancer Center to receive Merit Society Award in Sarasota

WHO: Moffitt Cancer Center, the only National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center based in Florida, will receive an award from The Merit Society in Sarasota

WHAT: The Merit Society of Sarasota will present awards to three of Moffitt Cancer Center’s research during a luncheon Jan. 28. Anna Giuliano, Ph.D, will receive a $25,000 grant. Susan Hoover, MD, FACS  will be presented with a $15,000 grant. And Sarah Hoffe MD is the recipient of a $10,000 grant. Membership in the society benefits female scientists and physicians at Moffitt and the monetary awards are used to further fund ongoing cancer research.
