July 14, 2016

The mammogram voucher program is currently processing a higher volume of requests than usual. Please call 1-888-663-3488.

WHO: Moffitt Cancer Center, the only National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center based in Florida, and the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

WHAT: Moffitt’s mission is to contribute to the prevention and cure of cancer. With the continued support from the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF), the cancer center has received a $50,000 grant that will provide a limited number of free mammograms to women in need. Women must meet certain criteria to qualify, which includes insurance and income requirements.

The program is intended to reduce barriers to care and offers the services of a Community Patient Navigator who will be able to navigate patients into screening and treatment if needed.  As barriers to access are identified, such as transportation and language needs, the navigator will provide the needed support.
