TAMPA, Fla., —Shoppers at University Mall can now stop by Moffitt Cancer Center’s popup Community Outreach and Education Center to learn more about cancer. Early detection is crucial when it comes to fighting this disease. The popup center provides:
· Education workshops on prevention and survivorship
· Information on available services and new innovations in research and treatment
· Patient navigation to Moffitt and other health resources
The popup location is part of a partnership between Moffitt Cancer Center and University Mall to provide a place for the community to come for a more informal and relaxed atmosphere for cancer education.
Moffitt’s M-POWER (Moffitt Program for Outreach Wellness Education & Resources) team invites the local community to celebrate this popup location with a free Pink Party Breast Cancer Awareness Event from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21.
