TAMPA, Fla. — Steven Blanchard and Lisa Chillura have joined Moffitt Cancer Center’s Public Relations & Strategic Communications team as media relations coordinators. Blanchard and Chillura will continue building Moffitt’s local, state and national media relations program.
Blanchard brings more than 15 years of journalism experience to his role at Moffitt. He most recently spent 10 years — nearly six of which were as editor-in-chief —with the Orlando-based biweekly newsmagazine published by Watermark Media, Inc.
“I am excited to use my knowledge of the news media in this position and hope to cultivate relationships with journalists while sharing the incredible work that is being done here at Moffitt Cancer Center,” Blanchard said.
Blanchard holds a B.A. from the University of Missouri-Columbia in English with a related field in Communications.

Chillura has been with Moffitt for three years in the Strategic Marketing department. Her background and professional experience prior to joining Moffitt in 2012 include public relations, communications and event planning for Tampa Bay & Company and Bloomin’ Brands.
“My commitment to Moffitt’s mission is leading me in a new direction where I can share the groundbreaking work being done here. There are so many positive stories to share, and I look forward to working with the media on these,” Chillura said.
