Moffitt Cancer Center Teams Up With USF Athletics for ‘Bulls Against Cancer’ Campaign

August 31, 2015

TAMPA, Fla. –  Moffitt Cancer Center is partnering with USF Athletics and IMG, the University of South Florida’s multimedia rights holder, to make cancer awareness and fundraising a team sport. Together, the organizations are launching the ‘Bulls Against Cancer’ campaign to promote cancer prevention and early detection among sports fans.

During the 2015-16 athletics season, four sports – football, men’s and women’s basketball and baseball – will host one game dedicated to generating awareness of a specific cancer type. The Bulls will wear special uniforms that are coordinated to highlight the color of the awareness ribbon for each cancer.  Those jerseys will then be donated to Moffitt following each game, where they will be used to help raise funds dedicated to research in the fight against each specific cancer.
