TAMPA, Fla. – Moffitt Cancer Center is pleased to announce that Alan F. List, M.D., President & CEO of Moffitt, has been recognized on the Becker’s Hospital Review list of “100 Physician Leaders of Hospitals and Health Systems.” List is highlighted for his diverse role in the health care field as Moffitt’s CEO and a practicing physician in the Department of Malignant Hematology.
The list compiles hospital and health system presidents and CEOs who hold medical degrees. The leaders on the list have varying perspectives within the medical field and have experience in medical training, patient care, research and leadership.

List was also recognized by Becker’s Hospital Review in 2013 as a top 300 hospital and health system leader to know. List is internationally recognized for his many contributions in the development of novel, more effective treatment strategies for myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) and acute myeloid leukemia (AML). Prior to his current position, he served as Executive Vice President and Physician-in-Chief, the Vice Deputy Physician-in-Chief, and the Chief of the Malignant Hematology Division at Moffitt, where he holds the Morsani Endowed Chair.
