Moffitt Cancer Center Offers a Taste of Yoga, the Arts, Pet Therapy at International Plaza

WHO: Moffitt Cancer Center, the only National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center based in Florida, will host a Healing and Hope Event at International Plaza and Bay Street to showcase a variety of health and wellness programs available to patients during their treatment.

WHAT: Shoppers at International Plaza can practice yoga, create artwork, pet a dog and undergo a cancer screening all at one spot. Healing and Hope offers the community an inside look into Moffitt’s Arts In Medicine, Pet Therapy Dogs, Integrative Medicine, Screening and Prevention, Survivorship, and other programs. Research has shown that stress-relieving activities can reduce adverse psychological and physiological symptoms in patients.

The event is free to the public.
