- 12:00 p.m. Cure On Wheels, Inc., riders arrive at the Historic Capitol steps in the Rotunda for the Capitol Ride finish; Open to the public
- 12:00 p.m. Press Conference hosted by Moffitt Cancer Center to honor the Capitol Rider cyclists, survivors and legislators on-hand; Open to the public
WHY: Exhibits in the State Capitol Rotunda will feature information on the latest advances in cancer research, treatment and prevention at Moffitt and its partner institutions. Members of the Speak Out for Moffitt coalition – 40 passionate citizens, cancer survivors, patients and family members from across the state – will be at the Capitol to meet with legislators and speak to the public. Cure on Wheels riders will also complete the Capitol Ride, a nearly 300-mile trek from Tampa to the steps of the Capitol, to raise awareness of the need to support life-saving cancer research. Moffitt partner AAA Auto Club South will provide bicycle safety information.
