Moffitt Cancer Center Hosts Continuing Medical Education Program on Thyroid Cancer

WHO: Moffitt Cancer Center, the only National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center based in Florida, is hosting “Advances in Evaluation and Management of Thyroid Nodules and Thyroid Cancer,” a free continuing medical education program for community healthcare professionals.

WHAT: The free continuing education event, led by Moffitt’s Endocrine Tumor Program Leader Bryan McIver, M.D., Ph.D, will focus on the diagnosis of thyroid cancer to increase early detection and improve patient outcomes. Thyroid cancer is on the rise, but is highly curable with early diagnosis.

WHEN: Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014, 5:30-7:15 p.m.

WHERE: Moffitt Cancer Center at International Plaza, 4101 Jim Walter Blvd.
