WHAT: Moffitt Day recognizes the need for continued legislative support to eradicate Florida’s second leading cause of death, cancer. Moffitt is celebrating 25 years committed to one mission: to contribute to the prevention and cure of cancer.

WHY: Exhibits in the State Capitol Rotunda will feature information on the latest advances in cancer research, treatment and prevention at Moffitt and its partner institutions. Members of the Speak Out for Moffitt coalition – 50 passionate citizens, cancer survivors, patients and family members from across the state – will be at the Capitol to meet with legislators and speak to the public. Cure on Wheels riders will also complete the Capitol Ride, a nearly 300-mile trek from Tampa to the steps of the Capitol, to raise awareness of the need to support life-saving cancer research. Moffitt partner AAA Auto Club South will provide bicycle safety information.
