WHAT: With October marking Breast Cancer Awareness Month,
BJ’s Wholesale Club in Tampa is hosting a free Pink Picnic for the community featuring local breast cancer survivor Stena Campagna, who will share her battle with the disease. Dr. M. Catherine Lee of Moffitt Cancer Center will discussbreast cancer screening, treatment and research. A Q-and-A session will follow. Rod Carter of WFLA, News Channel 8, will host the event.
BJ’s Vendor Partner, Procter & Gambleâ (P&G), will also host its “Look Good. Feel Good.” experiences to give survivors and guests the opportunity to sample a selection of “Pink Ribbon” products. Guests will participate in a consultation with a P&G beauty expert covering skin, hair and oral care. The experience will give members, breast cancer patients and survivors the opportunity to focus on feeling well on the inside and outside. The Beauty Expert will provide product recommendations, helpful tips, samples and coupons.
All attendees will receive a complimentary lunch and gift bag containing “Pink Ribbon” products, coupons, and information on BJ’s Charitable Foundation’sâ support of breast cancer research and treatment. The event is open to the public.
