Tampa, FL – Moffitt Cancer Center’s Thoracic Oncology Program will host a free lung cancer education luncheon on August 6 at The Chart House, 2250 Front St., in Melbourne.
Dr. Scott Antonia, Department Chair of Thoracic Oncology and Co-Program Leader of Immunology, will present “Lung Cancer: Leading the Way to Personalized Medicine.”
The event also will feature the following:
- Through Our Eyes: Patient testimonial speakers and Space Coast residents, Mary Edith Thomas and Beverly Walgrave
- A Message of Hope: Faces of Lung Cancer® Exhibition – photographs and essays of lung cancer patients and caregivers sharing their cancer journey
- Cancer education and resource tables
- Complimentary lunch

In addition, the Faces of Lung Cancer® Exhibition will be on display at the Holmes Regional Medical Center starting July 26 (the week prior to the luncheon) to raise awareness about lung cancer. The medical center is located at 1350 S. Hickory St., in Melbourne.
