TAMPA, Fla. – Moffitt Cancer Center, the Center for Equal Health, Front Porch Florida, Tampa Family Health Centers and the city of Tampa will host the East Tampa Healthy Living Expo from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 21 at the Lee Davis Neighborhood Service Center at 3402 N. 22nd St.The event is free and open to the public.
There will be free physical exams for school-age children and cholesterol screenings for adults. To schedule an appointment, call (813) 272-6240. There is limited space available for mammograms if you qualify. To determine if you qualify, call (813) 745-5777. Attendees can also take part in free diabetes and blood pressure screenings. There is no appointment necessary. Educational resources and health information will be provided.
Come and see a cooking demonstration on how to make quick, easy and healthy recipes and take part in a free Zumba demonstration. There will be free popcorn, snow cones and hot dogs, as well as a bounce house, games and door prizes.
