Moffitt Cancer Center, Tampa Bay Community Cancer Network, Santa Maria Catholic Mission Partner For Free Health Fair

Tampa, FL – Moffitt Cancer Center, Tampa Bay Community Cancer Network and Santa Maria Catholic Mission are hosting the Santa Maria Mission Health Fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 10. Free health screenings — including cholesterol tests, blood pressure, glucose test and HIV — will be available. Mammograms will be offered for women 40 and older. Most private insurances, Medicare and some Medicaid plans are accepted. If eligible, there is no charge for women with no health insurance. Cancer prevention education will be available, and kids will have the opportunity to participate in science activities and learn how to properly wash their hands.

The Santa Maria Mission Health Fair is the signature annual collaborative community outreach event for the Santa Maria Mission. For the past four years, the health fair has benefited more than 1,500 medically underserved people in the Tampa Bay community.
