Moffitt Welcomes New Diversity Department Employee

Tampa, FLMoffitt Cancer Center announces a new addition to the staff. Moffitt welcomes Erika Harris as external relations liaison in the Moffitt Diversity office.

Harris’s key responsibilities will be to develop and implement strategies for building and sustaining relationships with diverse communities with the goal of increasing awareness throughout Moffitt’s primary service area and to represent Moffitt in the community, administering programs supporting Moffitt’s diversity-related advisory boards and councils, Community Benefit Reporting monitoring, and diversity-related communications and sponsorships.

She joins Moffitt with nearly ten years of public relations and communications experience, with work ranging from public relations director of the Salvation Army to, most recently, director of communications for the American Diabetes Association.

Harris completed her undergraduate education at Winthrop University, earning a bachelor’s in mass communications with a minor in Spanish.
