Moffitt Cancer Center Presents the L.A.T.T.E. Forum

Provides community education about lung cancer

Tampa, FLMoffitt Cancer Center’s Thoracic Oncology Program invites patients, family and friends to attend the Lung and Thoracic Tumor Education (L.A.T.T.E.) forum. The forum will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, May 1, at the New Covenant United Methodist Church, 3470 Woodridge Drive in The Villages. This semi-annual event provides community education about lung cancer research, treatment, prevention and screening. 

The forum will include the unveiling of the latest addition to “Faces of Lung Cancer©,” a collection of photographs and personal stories of lung cancer patients, their caregivers and health care professionals.

The event will feature patient testimonials, a keynote address by Dr. Miguel Alvelo-Rivera, a thoracic surgeon at Moffitt, and an Ask the Experts panel presentation, with a question-and-answer session with clinicians. Resources and educational materials will also be available.
