Tampa, FL— The 2009 Florida Bank Miles for Moffitt will be held May 9 at the USF Sun Dome. The event, presented by the Tampa Bay Rays, includes a 5-mile run/walk at 7:15 a.m.; 5K run/walk at 8 a.m.; a 1-mile fun run/walk at 8:30 a.m. and a Kids’ Dash.
Participating cancer survivors will be recognized at 9 a.m. at the Gerdau Ameristeel Survivor Tribute, followed by the Awards Ceremony at 9:30 a.m.
The event features a Health Expo by the University of South Florida College of Public Health and Moffitt Cancer Center. Post-race food is provided by Whole Foods, Einstein Bros. Bagels in Brandon and Columbia Restaurant.
All proceeds from registration fees benefit cancer research at Moffitt.
