Tampa, FL – H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute announces Dr. Sloan Karver as an assistant professor in the Psychosocial & Palliative Care Program and Jia Fang, Ph.D. as assistant professor in the Molecular Oncology Program.
Karver recently worked as chief medical officer at the Gulfside Regional Hospice in Clearwater, FL. She received her medical degree from the New York Medical College. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Academy of Hospice Physicians.
Fang received his doctorate at the Shanghai Institute of Biochemistry. He studies histone demethlation related to cancer. He recently was at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as a postdoctoral research associate.
