New manager of cancer registry at Moffitt

Tampa, FL -- H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute announces the appointment of Carol Mastrull as the new Manager of Cancer Registry. Mastrull assumes the position from Helen Lewis who is now the Data Coordinator.

Mastrull has extensive experience managing hospital cancer registries and was recently selected by the National Cancer Institute’s Surveillance Epidemiology and End Results program to train cancer registrars throughout the United States on the new coding practices for multiple primaries and histologies. Prior to her position at Moffitt, she was the national compliance manager at KForce and a supervisor in the cancer data office at University Community Hospital, both in Tampa.

In 2001, the National Cancer Institute awarded Moffitt the status of a Comprehensive Cancer Center in recognition of its excellence in research and contributions to clinical trials, prevention and cancer control. Additionally, Moffitt is a member of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network, a prestigious alliance of the country's leading cancer centers, and is listed in the U.S. News & World Report as one of the top cancer hospitals in America. Moffitt’s sole mission is to contribute to the prevention and cure of cancer.
