TAMPA, Fla. – H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute named Dr. Johnathan M. Lancaster, Ph.D. as Chief of the Gynecologic Surgical Oncology Division. He served as Interim Chief for the past year.
“My goal is to develop an internationally recognized division of excellence in gynecologic oncology - rapidly translating research findings to clinical practice,” says Dr. Lancaster.
Lancaster is also Medical Director of the Lifetime Cancer Screening Center. He has a gynecologic oncology practice at Moffitt as well as a molecular genetics research laboratory.
Lancaster received his undergraduate and medical degrees in the United Kingdom. He completed his residency and fellowship training at Duke University. He has published many scientific articles and has won international awards for his research.
In 2001, H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute earned NCI Comprehensive Cancer Center status in recognition of its excellence in research and contributions to clinical trials, prevention and cancer control.
