MOFFITT CANCER CENTER AND DIRECTV TEAM UP TO FIGHT CANCER

TAMPA, Fla. – H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute will kick off A Day of Football Oct. 4, from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Vincent A. Stabile Research Building on the Moffitt campus at 12902 Magnolia Dr. The event will launch Moffitt’s joint promotion with DIRECTV, Inc., the nation’s leading satellite television provider and its DIRECTVCARES program to raise money for cancer research. The kick off is free and open to the public. Valet parking will be available for guests who will enjoy refreshments and football-themed games along with special prizes and a program.

DIRECTV will donate $200 to Moffitt research for every new customer and existing customer who makes a programming commitment, including its current offer of the exclusive NFL SUNDAY TICKET® package. A special gift will go to the first 25 people who sign up for DIRECTV that day.
