Tampa, FLa. -- H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute announces the appointment of B. Lee Green, Jr., M.Ed., Ph.D., to Executive Director of Institutional Diversity. Before joining Moffitt, he was an associate professor and director of the Center for the Study of Health Disparities at Texas A&M University.
Green received his M.Ed in health education from Valdosta State University in Georgia. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Alabama in health education and health promotion.
He is on the executive board of the African American Professional Organization and scientific advisor to the University of Michigan-Flint’s Office of Health Disparities.
As Executive Director of Institutional Diversity, Green will oversee Moffitt’s diversity efforts, while bringing his expertise in health disparities research to Moffitt’s Health Outcomes & Behavior Program.
In 2001, H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute earned NCI Comprehensive Cancer Center status in recognition of its excellence in research and contributions to clinical trials, prevention and cancer control.
