Shelley Tworoger, a cancer epidemiologist with the Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, said more research is needed to determine if there is a strong link between talc and ovarian cancer. But she said she generally advises women to avoid using such products. "Is there a causal link between talc use and ovarian cancer? We cannot definitively say that there is or isn't," Tworoger said. "But what we can say is there appears to be a modest relationship."
