Panera Goes Pink
As Moffitt corporate partners since 2010, Panera Bread® franchises, owned by the Covelli Family Limited Partnership, have supported Moffitt through their Panera Goes Pink initiative. In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, various Panera locations create a special pink ribbon bagel with cherry chips, dried cherries, and cranberries. One hundred percent of the proceeds from each pink ribbon bagel support Moffitt’s M-POWER program, which educates women about the importance of early detection for breast cancer and provides uninsured women with access to no-cost mammograms.
Panera’s Operation Dough-Nation Community Bread Boxes ™ profits are also collected throughout the month of October with a percentage given back to Moffitt. Panera continues its support of Moffitt in the spring time as a sponsor of Miles for Moffitt. During its time as a corporate partner, Panera has raised over $110,000 in support of Moffitt’s fight against cancer.
