The Gonzmart Family Foundation was created by Columbia Restaurant President, Richard Gonzmart, as a way to combine his love for running with his longtime desire to find a cure for cancer. They host two great annual events – Richard’s Run for Life is a 5K race held in the fall, and Richard’s Father’s Day Walk/Jog, is held in the spring on Father's Day weekend. In 21 years, over $1.8 million has been raised through these events to support sarcoma and prostate research at Moffitt Cancer Center.

The latest edition of Richard's Run for Life 5K was held on Friday, Nov. 4, 2022, in Ybor City's Centennial Park and over $100,000 was raised.
