Our sarcoma specialists
Moffitt’s Sarcoma Program is unique in that our patients don’t just benefit from the expertise of a single physician. Rather, our sarcoma patients are evaluated by a multispecialty team consisting of:
- Medical oncologists
- Orthopedic oncologists
- Surgical oncologists
- Radiation oncologists
- Reconstructive surgeons
Using their combined decades of experience, our sarcoma specialists ensure each patient’s treatment plan has been tailored to address the unique facets of his or her cancer, and this approach often results in better outcomes and an improved quality of life for our patients.
Comprehensive treatment plans
Moffitt offers some of the latest advancements in sarcoma treatment. Based on the size, stage and location of a patient’s tumor, his or her treatment plan may consist of a combination of chemotherapy, radiation therapy, immunotherapy, molecular targeted therapeutics or surgery. Our sarcoma specialists continuously monitor patients as they undergo treatment and can make any necessary adjustments to the treatment plan as a patient progresses. Additionally, through our robust clinical trials program, eligible patients have the opportunity to benefit from groundbreaking new therapies before they are made widely available.
