Diagnostic Radiology & Imaging Program
Moffitt Cancer Center's advanced radiology and imaging team provide complete imaging and interventional radiology services to thousands of patients every year. Our team collaborates with countless others at Moffitt, helping to accurately diagnose and stage a variety of cancers, evaluate patient responses to treatment and deliver sophisticated nuclear therapies when indicated as a form of treatment. Furthermore, all of these services are provided in a single clinic, streamlining appointments for patients and their referring physicians.
Our radiologists are board certified by the American Board of Radiology and/or the American Board of Nuclear Medicine. Additionally, our team members have fellowship training in a specific aspect of imaging or radiology, such as breast imaging, body imaging, musculoskeletal imaging, nuclear medicine or interventional radiology. As a result, our advanced program provides a broad scope of services with an unmatched level of expertise.
Through Moffitt's radiology and imaging services, patients can access:
- Computerized/digital radiography (X-ray)
- Computerized tomography (CT)
- Digital mammographies, breast ultrasounds, breast MRIs and other forms of advanced breast imaging
- Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
- Nuclear medicine
- Positron emission tomography (PET)
- SPECT and PET/CT combination imaging
These services – along with all of our other comprehensive services – are available to patients with just a single referral; referring physicians do not have to write multiple referrals for each Moffitt specialist that his or her patient consults with.
To refer a patient to Moffitt's radiology and imaging team, complete our online form or contact a physician liaison. As part of our commitment to short referral times, most referrals are responded to on the same day in which they are received.
