The Introductory  Pharmacy Practice Experiences, or IPPEs, are four-week or semester long  (dependent on the University requirements) of professional experience designed to introduce the student to the practice environment of pharmacy within a hospital setting.  During the course, students will learn and be exposed to but not limited to; medication storage and stability, medication delivery systems, intravenous preparation, pharmaceutical compounding, chemotherapy preparation, chemotherapy validation and appropriateness, USP Sterility standards, and medication safety.  We currently offer IPPE rotations through our inpatient pharmacy area.
