Physicians from throughout the nation refer their patients with breast cancer to Moffitt Cancer Center, an established leader in breast cancer diagnosis, treatment, clinical research and supportive care. Our breast oncology specialists focus exclusively on breast malignancies and leverage the latest advances in treatment to help patients achieve the best possible outcome and quality of life. As a high-volume cancer center, Moffitt is led by physicians who possess a unique level of experience addressing even the most uncommon and complex breast malignancies.

Overseen by Brian Czerniecki, MD, PhD, Moffitt’s Don & Erika Wallace Comprehensive Breast Program offers several advantages to patients, such as:  

• Multispecialty care – Physicians from several specialties make up Moffitt’s breast cancer program, including medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, surgeons, pathologists, radiologists and many other experts.
• All-encompassing diagnostics, treatment and supportive care – In one location, our breast cancer patients have access to expertly coordinated radiology and imaging services, clinical treatment and supportive care services, such as counseling and pain management.
• Advanced therapies and procedures – Our breast oncology specialists develop individualized treatment plans that may include minimally invasive surgery, targeted radiation therapy, immunotherapy and many other evidence-based methods.

Additionally, Moffitt leads a robust clinical trials program through which we are continually making breakthroughs in breast cancer treatment and prevention. Patients who participate in this program can receive the latest therapies before those options are made widely available. Thanks to our dedication to improving patient outcomes and quality of life through research, the National Cancer Institute has designated Moffitt as a Comprehensive Cancer Center. We are the only such center based in Florida.
