Surgical Pathology Fellowship Program Curriculum

This fellowship program is designed to provide training in all aspects of pathology of neoplastic diseases. The fellows will gain experience in diagnostic surgical pathology of different tumors and applications of diagnostic techniques to the study of neoplastic lesions.  This training will enhance the fellows’ diagnostic skills and prepare them for both academic and community practice.

Currently there are two one-year fellowship positions available and are based at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida. The expected starting time is July 1. However other dates will be also considered. Moffitt Cancer Center is a Comprehensive Cancer Center designated by National Cancer Institute and located at the campus of the University of South Florida, Tampa, Florida. There are approximately 16000 surgical cases, 9000 consultations/reviews, 11000 cytology cases, 500 cytology consultations and reviews, 1400 FNA and 1500 bone marrow cases.
