Using the da Vinci® Surgical System, which is capable of making tiny, exact motions that are impossible to perform with an unaided human hand, our surgical oncologists remove pancreatic tumors with an exceptionally high level of precision.
Robotic surgery is performed using minimally invasive techniques, which can provide a number of benefits as compared to traditional pancreatic surgery. For instance, patients often spend less time in a hospital and are less likely to experience some surgical complications. Patients also tend to experience less scarring and postoperative pain and many return to their daily routines within an accelerated timeframe.
