Lymphoma treatment is among our specialties at Moffitt Cancer Center. One of the largest cancer centers in the nation based on patient volume, Moffitt treats people from West Palm Beach, Florida, and across the U.S. with virtually all types of cancers, including Hodgkin and non-Hodgkin lymphomas. Our Malignant Hematology Program is led by specialists who focus exclusively on lymphomas and other malignancies, giving them a unique level of experience in treating even the most complex and uncommon blood cancers.
I have lymphoma. What are my treatment options?
First and foremost, your lymphoma treatment should be tailored to your specific diagnosis and health situation. While many people know that lymphoma can be classified as either Hodgkin or non-Hodgkin, each of these forms have multiple subtypes that respond differently to treatment. At Moffitt, our team of hematologists, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, pathologists and other experts collaborate to develop an individualized treatment plan for each patient. Based on the type of lymphoma, its stage and the patient’s overall health, a lymphoma treatment plan may include a combination of:
- Targeted radiation therapy
- Radioimmunotherapy (RIT)
- Stem cell transplantation through Moffitt’s Blood and Bone Marrow Transplant and Cellular Immunotherapy Program
Moffitt is committed to providing our lymphoma patients with the latest and most effective treatments. That’s why we spearhead a groundbreaking clinical trial program that allows our patients to receive breakthrough therapies before those options are made widely available. Due in part to these efforts, Moffitt is a National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center – the only such center based in Florida.
Individuals who are traveling to Moffitt from West Palm Beach to receive lymphoma treatment are invited to take advantage of the reduced rates available at our partner hotels. These hotels are located near our cancer center and adhere to our stringent hygiene standards.
