Jarett Rieger, Esq., MBA
Vice President and Chief Innovation OfficerJarett Rieger is the Vice President and Chief Innovation Officer at Moffitt Cancer Center. In this role, he is responsible for protecting discoveries, licensing technologies, creating startups and forging industry alliances.
Since joining Moffitt in 2004, Rieger has led the design and strategic growth of Moffitt’s commercialization and industry collaborations efforts. Rieger is passionate about executing business development strategies to advance promising inventions that will ultimately improve patient outcomes. During his tenure at the cancer center, he has led the negotiations of many transformative industry partnerships relating to technology development and licensing. Previously, Rieger managed intellectual assets and filed patent applications at Breed Technologies.
Rieger earned his Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration from Stetson University. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in chemistry from Rollins College. He is board certified in intellectual property law by the Florida Bar and is a Certified Licensing Professional. Additionally, he has been admitted to practice law in Florida and registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Rieger is a graduate of Leadership Tampa, Class of 2012, and Leadership Hillsborough, Class of 2010.
