New Website Aims To Meet Evolving Communication Requirements
Moffitt Cancer Center’s website – MOFFITT.org
– was redesigned last year to meet the evolving needs and expectations of Moffitt patients and their loved ones, including a simplified process of finding often-used Web pages.
“As a National Cancer Institute comprehensive cancer center, Moffitt requires a dynamic website that evolves and adapts to emerging Internet technology and health care trends,” says Joseph Hice, vice president of Public Relations & Marketing at Moffitt. “We aim to be at the forefront of Web-based technology as a means to communicate with our patients, physicians, and the community.”
The newly designed website includes thousands of pages of information about Moffitt services and research, along with an expanding number of links. MOFFITT.org aims to provide this information in a user-friendly way. For example, from the home page you can link to information about various types of cancers treated and related services at Moffitt, search for Moffitt doctors, learn about scientific research and find out about volunteer opportunities and how to give.
It is easy to follow Moffitt on Facebook
through icons appearing at the bottom of MOFFITT.org’s home page. Moffitt’s social media presence is generating some lively discussions on Facebook, notes Hice.
