Head and Neck Oncology Program

Head and Neck Program

Program Orientation/Overview

The Head and Neck Cancer Program at Moffitt Cancer Center provides comprehensive, patient-oriented care for all types and stages of head and neck cancer, with special attention to preservation, quality of life, rehabilitation and education. Our physicians and staff are dedicated to providing the newest and most effective care to our patients while striving to blend compassion and technique in our care approach.

Our interdisciplinary team of specialists provides a comprehensive program of care for patients. Screening, diagnosis, staging and treatment are provided, as well as long-term follow-up both at Moffitt Cancer Center and in coordination with a patient's primary physician close to home. The program's comprehensive care includes the latest investigational treatments for head and neck cancer. Program physicians have been pioneers in developing and defining the investigation of adjuvant therapy for both lymph node-negative and lymph node-positive patients.  Surgical treatment is a fundamental part of the approach to patients with more advanced disease.
