My major research interest is in developing selective radiotracers for measuring its expression in vivo utilizing positron emission tomography (PET).  This research area has a lot of room for development and there is great prospects for synthesizing new imaging tracers that will be very useful in the iagnosis and treatment of cancer and neuronal systems.  My specialty in the fields of radiochemistry and organic sysnthesis with emphasis on the preparation of PET radiotracers with the isotopes of 18F 11C.  We conduct the basic chemical research for attaching various radioisotopes to biologically active molecules such as receptors or enzyme with the hope of developing new diagnostic agents for nuclear medicine.
