Dr. Turos' laboratory is interested in the design and synthesis of novel organic substances that can be used to inhibit cancer cell replication pathways or those pertaining to drug-resistant bacterial infections, as well as new types of nanoparticle polymers as vehicles for delivery of various classes of antibiotics and therapeutic agents.
