About the photography in the issue:

The photographs in this issue of Cancer Control were provided by Gene Elling of Stockbridge, Massachusetts. The son of a skilled part-time photographer, Elling developed his own interest in camera work after moving with his family as a teenager from Brooklyn, New York, to Berkshire County, Massachusetts. He studied visual arts in college and then moved to Boston, Massachusetts, where work in layout and graphic arts led to product and retail-fashion photography. Years as a studio assistant prompted a turn to seek his own angles with subsequent work featuring travel, people, and what Elling would call his own “off-kilter” images. For more information, contact Gene Elling, 19 East Street, P.O. Box 1227, Stockbridge, MA 01262. E-mail: elling56@gmail.com.
