Dr. Jose Sarria is a board-certified pain medicine physician and director of the Interventional Pain Medicine Service in the Department of Anesthesia at Moffitt Cancer Center. Dr. Sarria is an assistant professor of neurology and oncology at the University of South Florida College of Medicine.

Dr. Sarria received his medical degree with a subspecialty certification in pain medicine from Universidad Central de Venezuela, graduating sixth in his class.  He completed a surgical internship at Brown University School of Medicine in Rhode Island and a residency in anesthesia at USF.  Dr. Sarria pursued advanced training through a pain management fellowship at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, MD.

Dr. Sarria is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the American Society of Regional Anesthesia & Pain Medicine, the American Pain Association Eastern Chapter and the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians.

Dr. Sarria is fluent in English and Spanish.
