Staff and volunteers who work in the Patient Library & Welcome Center on Moffitt's main hospital campus in Tampa, Florida answer questions by helping visitors locate the information they need.
The Patient Library & Welcome Center houses a lending library of books that can be checked out for up to two weeks. Anyone can check out items by providing contact information that will be entered into a secure database. We understand that there are patients and family members who must travel a long distance to Moffitt. Therefore let a staff person or volunteer know your circumstances, and we will be happy to accommodate you. If necessary, you can also renew books by phone.
Personalized Information Searches
There is no charge for our guidance in accessing current, reliable Web sites or other medical information. Our staff is eager to help you find the information you are looking for.
If you cannot search during your visit, please complete a Visitor Request Form, available in the Patient Library & Welcome Center. Staff will gather pamphlets, brochures, journal articles and fact sheets based on your request and hold them for pick-up at a more convenient date or time.
There is no charge to print journal articles, fact sheets and other medical information from the computers in the Patient Library & Welcome Center. A staff member would also be happy to make photocopies of non-copyrighted materials upon request. Moffitt Cancer Center Programs and Services
