TAMPA, Fla. – Moffitt Cancer Center will host its seventh-annual Business of Biotech conference from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Feb. 11 in the Vincent A. Stabile Research Building, 12902 Magnolia Drive. This year’s theme is “Partnering for Success.”
“We are delighted that Bob Ingram, general partner with Hatteras Venture Partners, will be featured as the keynote speaker this year,” said conference chairman Jarett Rieger, director of the Office of Technology Management and Commercialization and associate general counsel. “He will provide his insights on successfully attracting capital from venture capital firms and Big Pharma.” Ingram, the chair for the CEO Roundtable on Cancer, received the Martin Luther King, Jr. Legacy Award for International Service in 2004.
Since the inaugural conference in 2006, the conference has brought together the best and brightest from biomedical companies, startups, research organizations, service providers, entrepreneurs and investors for networking and partnership discussions.

Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn will be honored prior to the keynote address with the Moffitt Momentum Award. The award was created to honor public servants whose tireless efforts are instrumental in the fight against cancer in Florida.
