12th Annual Richard's Run for Life 5K

The 12thAnnual “Richard’s Run for Life” 5K takes place on Friday, Nov. 1 at 7 p.m. in Ybor City’s Centennial Park. Come out and run, walk or simply enjoy the food and beverages while helping researchers at Moffitt find a cure for cancer.
One hundred percent of every dollar donated and raised will benefit the Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) Program for sarcoma research at Moffitt Cancer Center.
Sarcoma is the number two cause of cancer in children.
“Richard’sRun for Life” has raised more than $648,000 in the last 11 years.
The all-ages entry fee is $25 per person online pre-registration through Oct. 27, 2013 or post-marked entry by Oct. 25, and includes a T-shirt. Register at: www.richardsrunforlife.org
All registered runners/walkers will receive free entry to the post-race party. Guests and visitors can also enjoy the festivities and food for a$20 donation. Children under 12 eat for $10 each. The post-race party in Centennial Park features music and food, including The Columbia’s Paella de Pollo “Valenciana,” (Chicken and Yellow Rice) Black Beans & Rice and The Columbia’s Original "1905" Salad®, Tacos from Moe’s Southwest Grill, Guava BBQ Ribs from Cha Cha Coconuts, ice-cold Michelob Ultra beer and wines from Chateau Ste. Michelle.
“Richard’sRun for Life” 5K Race, which is part of the Gonzmart Family Foundation — a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization — was created by Columbia Restaurant President Richard Gonzmart as a way to combine his love for running with his long-time desire to find a cure for cancer.
