Current Concepts in Oncology:
Advanced Practice Professionals’ Case Presentation Approach

This program is designed for the Advanced Practice Professional who is involved in treating cancer patients. Presented in an inter-active setting, speakers will discuss their role in patient care and management from a medical, surgical and radiation perspective. Topics include melanoma, multiple myeloma and prostate, esophageal, breast cancer and pancoast tumors. A case will be presented for each disease specific topic.
This conference is planned to meet the educational needs of Physician Assistants, Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners and Registered Nurses who treat the cancer patient.
At the conclusion of this conference, the participant will be able to:
• Identify current strategies in the work-up, diagnosis, management and treatment of melanoma, multiple myeloma and prostate, esophageal, breast cancer and pancoast tumors
• Through the case presentations, describe the appropriate process in the diagnosis and management regarding a patient with melanoma, multiple myeloma and prostate, esophageal, breast cancer and pancoast tumors
• Explore multi-disciplinary approaches to optimize outcomes in the oncology patient
• Discuss the APP’s role within the medical team in relation to the oncology patient
This program is not yet approved for CME credit. Conference organizers plan to request 6 hours of AAPA Category 1 CME credit from the Physician Assistant Review Panel. Total number of approved credits yet to be determined.
This program has applied for nursing contact hours through Moffitt Cancer Center, Florida BON Provider #50-3184. Contact hours are pending. Full day only (no partial credit provided).
