All of the facilities at Moffitt Cancer Center is designed to accommodate those with physical challenges. We can also recommend off-site housing in the Tampa, Florida area for extended stays or for patients and family members who need special room features due to wheelchair use or a hearing impairment.
In Moffitt’s block of rooms at the Residence Inn and TownePlace Suites, there are oversized rooms that can accommodate a wheelchair and have special features like roll-in showers. They also have bathrooms and tubs with multiple grab bars for stability and safety. Additionally, there are rooms available for the hearing impaired that include TDD Devices and doorbells with a flashing light that alert patients of a visitor.
The Fairfield Inn within five miles of Moffitt Hospital is not a Moffitt lodging partner, but they do offer rooms that are wheelchair ready with wider doorways, as well as counters, desks and bureaus that are built at a lower, more accessible height.
