The Radiation Oncology Program at Moffitt Cancer Center provides comprehensive care for all types and stages of cancer. Our approach is to provide our patients with experienced physicians who are experts in their tumor site. Better outcomes depend on combining the latest technology and innovations with a team of cancer specialists. Surgical oncologists, medical oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, pulmonologists, gastroenterologists and internists work closely with our doctors every day to determine the best approach for the patient.
In the Radiation Oncology Program, our team also includes radiation physicists and therapists, dosimetrists, nurses, dietitians, social workers and schedulers as well as our patients and their advocates.
Our program is an American College of Radiology (ACR)-accredited center. This designation reflects that we went through a rigorous review process to ensure that our personnel are well qualified through education and certification to precisely perform and administer radiation therapy treatments. Our equipment meets or exceeds quality assurance and safety guidelines established by the ACR.
We offer state of the art, full-spectrum radiation oncology treatment which personalizes the best technique for the individual patient with our Trilogy, Truebeam, Tomotherapy, Novalis, Oncor, and Clinac machines.
