The Department of Radiology at Moffitt provides all the diagnostic and interventional imaging services for the clinical programs.

The departmental mission is to contribute to the prevention and cure of cancer through excellent clinical imaging services, education and research.

The department features a team of highly dedicated and skilled physicians, nurses, technologists and staff who specialize in imaging by utilizing the most advanced technology for screening, diagnosis, intervention and surveillance.

Labwork & Bloodwork

Our pathologists in Hematopathology and Laboratory Medicine act as consultants to the clinician, defining appropriate tests and interpreting their results. After diagnosis, additional tests may be performed to assess prognosis, progression of the disease and response to treatment.

Our pathologists and clinical laboratories are actively involved in the translation of new discoveries into clinical diagnostics, with new testing and new methodologies being added continuously.

biopsy

Our team of expert pathologists in Anatomic Pathology evaluate tissue and organ samples at both the molecular and cellular level to identify specific characteristics and council clinicians on treatment options.

This paired with our Total Cancer Care® tissue bank, helps us identify the best way to approach each individual case - based on historic outcomes.
