Timeline of Events for the Infusion Center

Same Day Appointments include a doctor or nurse visit prior to infusion
Clinic Lab > Doctor Visit > Infusion Check In > Infusion Pharmacy Triage > Chair Time > Checkout

  • Clinic Lab - Labs are drawn one hour before a doctor visit.
  • Doctor Visit - Patients meet with their doctor prior to their infusion appointment to review their previous treatment cycle, discuss new symptoms and plan for future treatments. The doctor signs new orders and sends them to the Infusion Center for the next treatment.
  • Infusion Check In - Patients check in to the Infusion Center for their Infusion Pharmacy/Triage appointment 30 minutes prior to the start of their treatment.
  • Infusion Pharmacy/Triage - Your personalized treatment will then be processed, checked and mixed in the Infusion Center Pharmacy. Patient safety is our number one priority.
  • Chair Time - Our goal is to begin your treatment on time. Once your drug comes out from the pharmacy, your treatment will begin.
  • Check Out - Patients should stop by the Check Out area once they complete their treatment to schedule their next Infusion Center appointment.

Non-Same Day Appointments do not include a doctor or nurse visit prior to infusion
Check In > Infusion Lab > Infusion Pharmacy Triage > Chair Time > Checkout

  • Check In - Patients check in to the Infusion Center for their Infusion Pharmacy/Triage appointment 30 minutes prior to treatment.
  • Infusion Lab - If labs are needed on a day the patient does not see the doctor, the check in time will be the Infusion Lab Only appointment two hours prior to the start of treatment. Lab results are necessary before the pharmacy can process a patient’s treatment.
  • Infusion Pharmacy Triage - During triage, a medical assistant will check the patient’s vital signs. Once labs result, your personalized treatment will then be processed, checked and mixed in the Infusion Center Pharmacy during the Infusion Pharmacy Triage appointment.
