Perioperative Nurses perform skilled, critical actions that vary with specific surgical procedures and the unique needs of each patient. They are responsible for the preoperative assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the patient's Perioperative experience. Perioperative Nursing interventions are based on clinical judgment and knowledge that enhance patient outcomes. We offer a six month internship program every year for Registered Nurses who are interested in Perioperative Nursing but have little to no previous OR experience. Our Endoscopy Suites feature 6 Procedures rooms including 11 recovery beds. Our nurses have special skills in the care of patients needing endoscopy, pain management, venous access devices, and special procedures such as bone marrow biopsies. We offer training to experienced Registered Nurses to develop expertise in these interventions.
