will offer the fifth in a series of free cancer education lunch programs called “De Moffitt a Puerto Rico: Charlas sobre cáncer” at 11:30 a.m. Nov. 15. This program, presented in Spanish, will focus on the latest advances in early detection and treatments for colorectal cancer. Colorectal cancer is the third most common cancer, excluding skin cancers, diagnosed in both men and women in the United States, according to American Cancer Society. More than 100,000 new cases of colon cancer and more than 40,000 new cases of rectal cancer will be diagnosed in the United States in 2013, with an estimated 10,400 combined cases of the diseases affecting Hispanics.
At this free event, guests will have the opportunity to ask questions and talk one-on-one with a top expert in the field of colorectal cancer research and treatment from Moffitt – the only Florida-based Comprehensive Cancer Center designated by the National Cancer Institute
